Phase 4 Scenery and Decoration of the model railway layout

In the realization of our projects, we distinguish between Scenery Creation and Decoration.

Building the structure and scenery of the model train layout

In the Reserved Area, we offer several methods for building the scenery structure of your model train layout.

By this, we mean the terrain, water surfaces, grass, rocks, and roads—essentially all those elements that make up the landscape and somehow form its base structure.

This phase corresponds to the supply of a “Layout with Rough Finished Landscape” listed in our online shop.

The scenery will later be enriched with buildings, specific ‘scenes’, and other finer details like trees, plants, fences, lampposts… but this phase usually takes place at very distinct stages of the Model Railway Layout Construction.

Scenes and Settings

In the Reserved Area, we provide useful guidance for creating Scenes and Settings where we combine buildings, trees, roads, grass and bushes, figures, vehicles, lights, etc… some examples are also published here in the category Scenes and Settings – Layout Decoration
